Cleanup planned for next Saturday at 10:00am – Des Cahill has confirmed that Insurance issues are now OK and the corporation will collect the rubbish afterwards, so it can go ahead.
Details attached – but the plan is to meet in Blackrock village at 10:00am – walk up the hill and try to collect the walkway area outlined in Red – The need here is far greater than the seafront area around the castle. How much of it we can get done depends on the numbers who turn up and we can decide on the day. Hopefully people can give 2-3 hours if they’re free on the morning. If not there will be another one on the same weekend in April.
Key Issues – Des to arrange for collection and define the collection points from the map attached – One at either end and one in the middle would mean we could cover more ground. (The marina end, on the hill running into the village and the Skehard Road end). Logistically carrying bags from the marina to the skehard road is impractical.)
- Patsy has bags, gloves and pickers and will bring these along.
Thanks for your support – make it if you can – please pass this on to anyone else who may be interested.
